Creates and implements marketing strategies to promote the region to tourists, works with community organizations to develop tourism products/attractions, works with media to feature local tourism industry to attract visitors and to create positive publicity for the Chamber and community, advocates for tourism issues to state legislators and maintains relationships with the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development

Mary Tom Jenkins-Cocks has been the Digital and Social Media Communications Manager for the Tourism Development division at the Chamber for the past seven years. Mary Tom has also been hired to assist Melissa Woody managing several projects and events for the Tourism division. She has lived in Cleveland for the past 20 years but grew up in neighboring McMinn County in Englewood, TN, and graduated from McMinn Central High School. She holds a degree in elementary education from Tennessee Wesleyan University. In addition to teaching school, she as also worked as an affiliate broker at Coldwell Banker Hamilton & Associates. She is married to Jeff Cocks, and together they own two local businesses, Corporate Network Solutions and MacPC Market. Both of their businesses are Chamber members. Mary Tom and Jeff have been married 29 years and have two sons, Thomas and James. They are members at North Cleveland Church of God. She enjoys spending time with her family at Lake Ocoee, Watts Bar Lake, Santa Rosa Beach and St. Pete Beach. Her interests include traveling, hiking, photography, water sports, cooking and gardening.
