A “Home and Garden Show” is returning to Cleveland, Tennessee compliments of a local radio station that prides itself on “building community,” and a slew of government leaders and civic organizations.
Set for later this spring, the community event is the first to be hosted by the radio station. It is being presented in a partnership with Peoples Home Equity.
Scheduled for the Museum Center at Five Points in downtown Cleveland, the event will be held Saturday, April 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission will be free and it is open to the public.
The event will be held in cooperation with the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce, the River Counties Association of Realtors, MainStreet Cleveland, the Ocoee Region Builder’s Association, the Museum Center at Five Points and Bayer.
Bradley County Mayor D. Gary Davis and Cleveland Mayor Kevin Brooks attended the announcement, and were there to spotlight the importance of the home and garden industry to the local economy overall.
The first 100 people at the event will receive a gift bag, prizes and there will be a children’s area sponsored by Bayer with hands-on activities and great food, including Mayfield Creamery ice cream.
Mix 104.1 owner Steve a Hartline said it was time for the community to once again have its own Home and Garden Show.
“I am so proud to work with these tremendous organizations, who represent quality and integrity in the industries they represent,” Hartline said. “This is going to be a community showcase to people from all over this region, and we are so excited to once again be putting on an event that we believe people are going to love.”
Hartline said Cleveland has been holding events for over 13 years.
“We see thousands of people attend our events, and we want it to be a great experience for them, as well as our partners,” Hartline said. “I appreciate Peoples Home Equity and Bruce Dodd being our lead sponsor, as well as all of our partners who are very excited to meet the people who will come to them on April 6.”
