National Public Lands Day

September 22, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Our Public Lands are so important. We want your help to protect them. There is an invasive plant that grows in our park known as privet. It takes over the area of our native trees and plants. The plan is to pull up the pesky privet! If you want to help out, please wear sturdy work shoes, bring a pair of gloves, and water to drink. We will be working on removing privet for a couple of hours. We will then finish out the day with a hike on our loop trail to admire what we are trying to protect and preserve. Meet Ranger Roberts at the Park office at 10am. If you have any question, please call the park (423) 263-0050 or email Ranger Roberts at Gillian.Roberts@tn.gov.
