Pickin’ in the Park
April 23 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Pickin’ in the Park is back for 2019! If you are a picker and play banjo, fiddle, guitar, mandolin, or any other instrument, come and join us. This is a program designed to protect the culture and history of music in the mountains of East Tennessee. Together we will learn the history of a few instruments and how they each tell a story of where we come from as Americans. Many of the pickers who attend have stories and history behind the tunes that they play. This is a fee based program. We ask for $2 per adult. Children 12 and under are free. Fix a s’more, hang by the fire, and enjoy the music. Be sure and bring a lawn chair and meet at the amphitheater. We hope to see you there!
